Privacy Policy

Replay does not collect, sell, or share your personal data with the developer or any third party. This page explains exactly what the app accesses and why.

Microphone

Replay uses your device's microphone solely to recognize songs playing nearby, via Apple's ShazamKit framework. Audio is processed by Apple's on-device and cloud-based matching service to identify a song; Replay does not record, store, or transmit raw audio itself.

Your Playlists & Song Data

Recognized songs and playlists are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework, and synced privately across your own devices through your personal iCloud account (Apple's CloudKit service). The developer has no access to this data — it never passes through any server we control.

Apple Music Export

When you choose to export a playlist to Apple Music, Replay uses Apple's MusicKit framework directly, using your existing Apple Music authorization. Replay does not store your Apple Music credentials.

Spotify Export

Replay does not integrate directly with Spotify's API or handle your Spotify credentials. When you choose to export to Spotify, Replay generates a playlist file and directs you to a well-known third-party service, TuneMyMusic (tunemymusic.com), where you sign in to your own Spotify account through their own integration to complete the transfer. Please review TuneMyMusic's own privacy policy for details on how they handle your data.

Notifications

Replay may show a local notification while a listening session is active, so you know it's still running in the background. This notification is generated entirely on your device and is not a push notification from any server.

Data Not Collected

• No account or sign-in is required to use Replay.
• No analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs are included in the app.
• No location, contacts, browsing history, or financial information is accessed.

Children's Privacy

Replay does not knowingly collect any information from children. The app has no age-gated content.
